Bush’s failed economy has driven the US Dollar into the toilet.

Beside the fact that Bush’s war in Iraq has raised the price of oil by disrupting global supply, countries are doubly hit by having to purchase it with worthless US Dollars.

Other commodities like copper are also priced in worthless US Dollars which has placed a drag on those industries as well.

How long will it be before the rest of the world cuts Bush’s failed credit line and starts to price commodities in other currencies to avoid being drug down by the Dollar?

Who and How Can I Report the Teikoku Commodities Scam?

Andrew I asked:

I believe that there is a Scam being operated by a company called Teikoku Commodities. They offer you a great opportunity to invest in commodities. They have a very convincing WEB site, your own account, and are registered with what they claim is a government body in Japan.
please contact my E-mail if you have been duped by this company.

Isn’t either of these being bid up by large speculators that can pull the rug out from under it any time they want enough to cause a panic and greater decline?

What is to watch for in trading commodities? How is it different from stock trading? Can you set limit sell and limit buy positions like you do in stocks?

Everyone got cards with commodities like corn and wheat and you had to bid (like on the floor of the stock exchange, yelling) in order to collect all the like cards to corner that market.

Sparky the Greek asked:

If a speculator possibly had to take delivery of corn, soybeans, or crude oil would that slow down the rampant speculators and thus curb inflation on our prices of food and gas?

As it is now, most commodities settle to an index, I believe mostly due to the oversight the delivery process would take.

Your thoughts?

I used Turbo Tax in the past when I only traded stocks, but since I now trade commodities also it does not seem to be as easy and I could not figure out how to make the entries corrrectly. I even asked one of their techs and I don’t think they understood how to enter commodities trades correctly.

I looked at the forbes list today, and the ones that werent internet boom people, in some shape or form traded commodities. Looks like they are a great financial instrument to make big gains, and i guess to also lose big.
