The Commodity Futures Modernization Act allows oil to be traded on unregulated markets. This has allowed speculation (investment without intent to use oil) to drive up oil prices to where they are today. (read this: http://www.atimes.com/atimes/Global_Economy/JE06Dj07.html
Ron Paul voted against the Commodity Futures Modernization Act, While Bill Clinton signed it into law.

Nancy Pelosi also voted for this bill. So did anyone else you can think of.
Ron Paul is 1 of 4 congressmen who voted against it and what is now called the Enron Loophole.

Just another example of leadership by Ron Paul that demonstrates he is not owned by the corporations.
He is the only person worth voting for

A stockbroker would like to differentiate his company from the competition. Since stocks are like commodities differentitation in the business model will improve margins.

Usually the client values the wealth he generates while trading with a particular stock broker the most. Other value added services including quality research & goos service are important, but you know no one can predict the markets right so they could be subjective.

Can anyone suggest a innovative model to break the market and gain marketshare ?? Maybe a new way to do the old thing.

When comments are made regarding the stock exchange/commodoties/forex by these people, is this not defamation of a particular currency of a country /stock and why do investors hinge on every word said by them. It is a known fact that the stock exchange/commodity index/forex cannot be predicted by a single entity ( only speculated) and if can be, then it is criminal by insider trading definitions.

Why are investors so dependant on these people who clearly are just guessing. Gold was set to be currently at an all time high and jet it is almost the opposite.

What Twitter feed gives the best (unbiased / facts only / no editorial / fastest) news as it relates to the stock market / trading. Topics such as economic news, breaking company news, commodities news, etc.
@BESTEST TOPPEST CONTRIBUTOR — LOL, Unbiased source? ya right. Facts? ya right.

Anyway, you know what I mean… there is probably some source out there that at least does the ‘breaking’ part of breaking news well on Twitter — who though.

How Can I Become a Stock Floor Trader?

B asked:

I want to become a stock (or commodity) market trader / broker / other related career where you physically work on the trade floor. Is that a good choice now with most exchanges going electronic? What skills do you need? What qualification and certifications? Please advise an enterprising young fella as he seeks a career path.
