How Can Cons Still Blame Clinton for the Economy ?

They keep bringing up legislation that BC signed that MOST of them benefited from themselves.
To all those who point a finger at Bill Clinton…
Under Clinton, these banks wouldn’t have been ALLOWED to sell these predatory loans to people who couldn’t afford them !
SURE he signed legislation that made it easier for alot of people to borrow money for homes..(which many of you occupy today with interest rates which were set in the 90′s !)…… BUT…he didn’t deregulate the Commodities Futures trading which drove the price of gasoline to 4 dollars per gallon over the course of the following 8 years either !…He didn’t DEREGULATE THE BANKS……
When Clinton was in office… people COULD afford their loans….but NOT NOW !
You’ people are referencing a time when a gallon of milk was $2.20 !
When a typical electric bill was around 70 bucks !
When home owners insurance rates were REGULATED
When energy was REGULATED
When Wall Street was REGULATED

I know Bill Clinton is always your “goto” man for blame…but it’s not going to work this time.
What Bill Clinton did was allow average people to afford average homes…..
What GOP did was allow banks to charge average people above average INTEREST RATES, on average homes. The GOP allowed futures traders to fix the price of energy.

How can anyone blame Clinton for this is beyond all logic and reasoning…

Your a joke !! Clinton and Barney Frank pushed for expanison of the Community Redevelopment ACT and Clinton told Janet Reno the Attorney General to prosecute any lender that did not comply with the program. Then Dems blocked any reform process in congress so who is to blame? You tell me?
He help created these predatorial loans. I am not excusing Bush. He allow these loans to continue unregulated.

Actually President Clinton did deregulate the banks and the insurance companies in 1999. He did have some help from Dems and Reps in Congress. Check your facts please.
It’s an election year and Republicans can’t or won’t be moral enough to admit they messed up big time otherwise McCain won’t be elected. In the last 30 years we’ve had 2 Democratic presidents for a total of 12 years and the Republicans try to blame everything that’s wrong with the country on them. If Clinton was the cause of all of this then why didn’t Bush and his Republican controlled congress do something about it for the first 6 years they were working together?
No-one blamed Clinton, When Obama says Bush’s deregulation caused this, people point out it was Clinton who deregulated. By in large what I heard was to just set the record strait. I bet Obama is still talking about Bush deregulating. =&spon=&pagewanted=print
