I am so sorry to hear about your problems right now. We will be praying for your family. Start by letting the food stamp people know your husband is laid off. You may get an increase in money. Also call your city hall. They should know of the local food pantrys in your area. If they don’t help, call all of the churches. Most churches have food drives.
Any church in your community will help out with a food basket. They also have foods pantry’s all over the world. Trust me go to a local church talk to the pastor, he will help you.
Sorry for your situation. Usually, churches have a food bank. If there is a big one around you, just go in and talk to the secretary. Also , here is the list of churches in Arkansas that are associated with the food bank:

you can check with your local red cross or even the chamber of commerce. You can also contact Second Harvest, a national Foodbanking network in Chicago and New York and they have a list of all certified Food Banks affiliated with them
Go to your towns trustee’s office. There should be food pantry’s in your area.
There are many churches that offer food to those in need. Use your phone book and call the church office and explain your situation and ask if they have a food bank. You may also try the Salvation Army. They often have rescources that will help not only with groceries, but (one time) with utilities. Also, go to the electric and gas company and ask if you can apply for low income rates on your utilities. I’m not sure what it is called in Arkansas, but here in California it is called “heap”.

There are SEVERAL in the state of Arkansas. This is the BEST food and you get over 10 pounds of meat!
Angel Food’s groceries are sold in a quantity that can fit into a medium-sized box at $25 per unit. Each month’s menu is different than the previous month and consists of both fresh and frozen items with an average retail value of approximately $50.
