You have so much depth at starting pitcher, that you should actually try to trade Verlander for a good infielder or possibly another outfielder just in case Hamilton doesn’t turn out to be as good as everyone thinks he will be. Also, since you already have Posada, drop Varitek and pick up Yunel Escobar. He can play 2B, 3B, and SS. You need some depth at those positions and is off to a great start and has a lot of potential.
I answer your question with this question…
Why put so much emphasis on a player that at most plays once every 4 games?
I would get something out of Carmona while people still think he is awesome.
Harden is a great SP, but who knows when he’s hurting himself. ditto on Sheets.
Do you have to have a Starter and a Closer in this league? Do you count Holds? It all depends on the scoring.
You have a very solid starting lineup.
You could use some decent supplemental players.
drop or deal polanco bourn hermida guthrie gregg…..
its worth the risk.
