Because it will allow them to gain control over huge tax revenues, furthering the march to 0bamaland.
Only propagandists are running around saying “cap and trade”.
Who do you work for?
Somehow they think it will stick it to the man. But their is no MAN in manufacturing. At least in the USA.
Because those that are producing vast amounts of emissions – power plant / factory owners – are already the elites. They already control the means of production; carbon credits aren’t the barrier to entry in those markets.
The point of cap & trade is to lower emissions and make alternative energy more viable, there isn’t a larger socio-economic objective.
What kind of market do we have now? My area is mostly manufacturing and jobs are going left and right already. What are they thinking? I can only think we’re already medium-rare and cap and trade just chars us.
Reba, I haven’t heard cap and trade called anything nicer. What have you heard it called? Look at Kman’s answer, there’s your propaganda.
