Why Do People See China as a Villian and Other Countries That Don’t Benefit the US as Allies?
US benefits from its ties from China and Japan over trade. Those countries don’t have a strong relationship with the U.S. because of suspicions that Americans harbor over their intentions of using the American govt. China though provides all the labor needed to produce the commodities that are sold back to the States. Our exported goods are priced at a higher rate when its dumped into the Chinese market. In China at least, General Motors cars are doing astonishingly well, in part because of a rising interest from the middle class to own ‘quality’ cars.
Israel, on the other hand, has historically done absolutely nothing for the US. They did not give us bailout money to continue funding our govt. They don’t share a strong economic relationship with our country yet they are seen as the US’s number one strategic ally. That to me is absurd beyond belief. There are no Chinese lobbyists influencing foreign policy at Washington but there are increasing numbers of Zionist groups asking for the US’s money and guns to support Israel. What does America get anything from Israel? If there was a sustaining reason why we support Israel then we should continue this relationship but I don’t see even one reason
scaredrys. that is a contradiction. Israel also has a HUGE human rights violation record. I admit that I don’t completely understand our ties w/ Israel but it seems obvious to me that they don’t benefit our govt in any way, if anything Israel is the country has has designs over the US

Who says that China is seen as a villian? They have a human rights record that could curdle milk, and I really doubt that they are loaning us money out of altruism, but economic ties with China are important. The fact that you think that Israel has, historically, done “absolutely nothing” for the US shows your knowledge of the world. Do try to remove your head from…errr…before you post another rant.
Peace
EDIT-it is not a human rights violation to defend yourself. Compared to Chinese law-Israeli law, which forbids torture, gives equality to ALL citizens, puts wives of prisoners on the civil dole (even if said prisoner, say, came across the Lebanese border on a boat, raided an apartment complex, shot the policeman who came to help, kidnapped a father and daughter, shot the father dead in front of the little girl, and then smashed her head to smithereens on some rocks. True story. Their names were Dannie and Einat Haran. Their killer married some “anti-Israel activist” ***** while in jail, and she draws a monthly support check from the state of Israel.) I supported China’s right to put down the Uighur’s little rampage, just like I support Israel’s right not to have her cities shelled. You think China gave us intel about Soviet chemical weapons during the 70s? Would you like to point to another stable democracy in the region that the US could share intel and weapons with? The Krav Maga hand-to-hand training that they give to CIA agents? Spy drones they have shared with us? Weapons and other aid that they have discreetly supplied the US with in her ME wars? Because, ever since Carter took out the Shah in Iran (where we lost a lot of weapons that we had supplied him with)…Or would you tell me what mystical powers these evil Zionists use to make the US government pander to the apparently useless Israel? Israel generally does what the US government tells her to-it cost her many lives in ’73, and it kept them out of Iraq in the 90s. It’s thanks to China that we have Kimmie in North Korea, so they have been as counterproductive to the US as they have been productive.
I think you have to look at a countries relative influence, and then look at what kind of country it is. China is likely to become a super power in the next few decades, but its people still have little rights compared to the US, western Europe, Japan, South Korea, and so forth. Match their human rights record to the power they are slowly gaining and it isn’t a wonderful picture.
HELLO, WAKE up people!!!! No politicians ever care about human rights…oh comon, you dont think anyone really gives a **** about human rights? If human rights were that important, then really, can anyone give me a reason why USA is bombarding civilian areas in Afghanistan even to this day?
